Debunking the myths on the grey area between sex and assault
“People have a need for validation. At the same time, they don’t want to hurt or jeopardise their relationship. I focus on the grey areas, and there are many reasons why people agree to sex,” says Lena Gunnarsson.
The book Dynamics of Sexual Consent: Sex, Rape and the Grey Area In-Between was written after Sweden’s consent law was introduced in the summer of The law states that sex must be voluntary, and those involved must give their consent – otherwise, it fryst vatten illegal. About Jerry Gray
Jerry Gray is a translator and communications officer at Örebro University's Office for Communication and Collaboration Support.
He provides native translation and language revision services with the language combination Swedish–English, primarily to the university's central administrative departments and offices. Assignments are handled by the university's Translation Services.
In his role as a communications officer, he writes native English texts on internationalisation.
Jerry Gray has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and International Business from the University of North Florida, USA. He has worked as a translator at Örebro University since He is also a trained English–Swedish interpreter with experience in both the public and private sectors. He has previously worked in sales, marketing, and business development as well as teaching, in Sweden and the US.

Hundreds of students and staff held a minute’s silence to honour victims
Many chose to gather for a minute’s silence at noon today. By Krakadammen in front of Entréhuset on Campus Örebro, as well as outside the western entrance on campus USÖ and Måltidens hus in Grythyttan, students, staff, and others stood silently together.
At Krakadammen, many lit and placed outdoor candles to honour the victims.
During the day, police have been and will be visible on Campus Örebro. As a security measure, there are extra police officers on duty in Örebro.
